Smiley Crane at the PGA Waste Management Phoenix Open 2020

This past year, Smiley Crane had the opportunity set up multiple event stands/monuments at the PGA Waste Management Open. In addition to building the grand stands that house lounges and viewing areas, we lifted a vintage helicopter from the Vietnam war that was donated as the viewing piece for the veteran tent.

Due to the size of the event, the building process takes months to complete. For our part, the 80 ton was set up in October to build the massive 3 story grand stands. In January, Vince was flying large top pieces for the roof of the same exact structure. Also in January, the final helicopter lift was completed by George Latour. For a tight fit with precious cargo, it was a job very well done!
