ConExpo, held in Las Vegas every three years, is North America’s largest construction trade show. Considered a construction industry must attend, the event features the latest equipment advances and newest technology applications in every aspect of construction. Headlined by major players, the Vegas hotels compete with a multitude of tower cranes for space on the famous Las Vegas skyline.
So since ConExpo is kinda a big deal, how does Smiley Lifting prepare?
Preparations for ConExpo start long before the show. Discussions regarding the needed staff, cranes to display, give away items, and hotels start months in advance. Once the plan is in place, we must get to work to ensure the correct equipment, merchandise, and cranes are ready for the show.
Who attends the show from Smiley Lifting?
Tony, Tami, and the Sales Team attended this years show, along with a our move in and demonstration crews. Because vendors and distributors of parts and new technologies exhibit at the show, we also had members of our Engineering Team and Parts Department check out the show.
What did Smiley bring to the show?
This year Smiley Lifting Solutions brought our entire SPYDERCRANE Line, complete with the new SPYDERCRANE Cube crane, and Smiley Engineered Pick and Carry 094. In addition we brought some of our smaller loader/unloader cranes, often used with our Smiley Crane Service deliveries.
Was the 2020 show a success?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the show was cut short by a day, and many companies choose not to send their employees. However, we learned a lot, connected with many of our current and perspective clients, and hopefully made a brand impact for customers that may be in the market in the future.
