The Little Red Crane by Cornelius Van Wright
Smiley Lifting Soltutions/SPYDERCRANE is in a childrens book! The Little Red Crane portrays the story of Dex the mini crawler and his operator Pete. It’s the tale of how a mini crawler fits in with the rest of the big crane world and what makes it unique. Dex is tasked with a special “Big” job that provides The team cross through towns and over the ocean on a cargo ship, meeting cranes of all different shapes and sizes. Not knowing where he fit in, Dex was wondering what a tiny mini crane like himself was doing in a world full of 18-wheeled beasts, lifting massive beams and working on massive scaled projects. But when he goes inside of a museum in the big city to put together an ancient dinosaur artifact exhibit, he felt right at home.
Van Wright contacted Smiley’s back in 2018 when putting this book together and was given information about our cranes. It is a great story for kids and showcases some of the cool abilities that our SPYDERCRANE mini crawler offers to our customers and aspiring crane operators.
