Meet the Team: Beth Farnsworth – Tucson / Heavy Crane Division

Beth Farnsworth
Dispatch- Tucson / Heavy Crane and Rigging

Looking for a change, Beth came to Smiley 1 ½ years ago after working in the medical field for over 13 years. She brought her organizational skills and excellent work ethic to the Tucson office and recently has been working out of the Phoenix Heavy Crane office. The upbeat environment and team-work attitude of her co-workers have help her to learn the industry quickly and enjoy her job.

Born in Tucson, Beth lived in Idaho for 10 years before moving back to the area when she was 13. As a single parent since her daughter was five years old, she keeps a very busy schedule. Driving from Benson to Phoenix every day while caring for her 14-year-old daughter, four cats, two dogs, three goats, and one horse, Beth values her time. When she does get spare time, Beth and her daughter can be found off-roading, shooting, hunting, or enjoying a good drink and a nice fire. Beth is looking forward to moving closer to the Phoenix office and dreams about a week vacation somewhere on an island with her daughter and without her phone.

Beth’s newfound love of the crane industry has rubbed off on her daughter Cassidy. Cassidy has been tagging along with Beth to the office, spending her days soaking in everything she can, and studying the Basic Rigging books in hopes of gaining her certification. Cassidy’s future goals include joining the Smiley team and being a “badass” crane operator.
