IMPORTANT! Company Phones, Tablets, and Security

Company Phones, Tablets, and Security Recently we have seen an influx of company phones and tablets that for one reason or another have required technical support. When we go to fix the issue, the item is locked with a security pin, pattern, or fingerprint and our IT Department cannot get into the device.ALL COMPANY PHONES AND TABLETS SHOULD ONLY BE LOCKED WITH A PIN NUMBER OF 5326.THIS IS NOT OPTIONALIf your device is owned by the company, it is not ok to set your own security preferences. Please change your preferences back to a pin of 5326 or see Cory in IT Department if you need help to do this.

Electrical Hazards

Electrical Hazards Pose Serious Workplace Safety Risks On A Construction Site & In Neighborhoods   Power lines are a hazard everywhere we work. Be aware of overhead power lines and underground power. Buried power lines in conduit can be crushed by outriggers and electrify the area around the crush. Look for line markings and ground mounted transformers around your work area. When working near overhead lines, confirm the voltage and maintain the proper distance. Temporary Traffic Control Zones

Tips to Implement Safe Temporary Traffic Control Zones This applies to all crane when you have to setup on a public road. With more than 600 fatal work zone incidents occurring every year, designing and implementing safe and effective temporary traffic control (TTC) for work zones does save lives. A temporary traffic control zone, also known as a TTC zone, is an area of a roadway where the usual driving conditions are changed because of a work zone in the area. Approach all activities in work zones involving TTC by focusing on these seven fundamental principles: Develop a plan to make sure that motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians and workers are safe while the work zone is in place. As much as possible, avoid interrupting the normal flow of traffic [...]

Doing our Part- AZ Humane Society

AZ Humane Society Gets New AC units The Arizona Humane Society’s pets received a cool gift just in time for summer! Day & Night Air Conditioning, Heating and Plumbing, a local company who is passionate about giving back to the community, generously donated two air conditioning units and a maintenance package to the Arizona Humane Society. Smiley Crane Service donated the lift for the install. The new units were installed in AHS’ Marge Wright Veterinary Clinic at its Sunnyslope Campus, which has been in operation since 1957. This generous donation comes just one year after Day & Night donated Air Scrubbers by Aerus to the shelter in an effort to improve air quality for AHS’ staff and pets. Last year, AHS provided veterinary services to more [...]

Workplace Injury Reporting

Work Place Injury Reporting As many of you may be aware, we have had a couple of incidents lately involving vehicles. These incidents are preventable by simply not being in a rush. It is appreciated that we all want to save time and get the current task completed. But as we have all witnessed, when an incident takes place, the time we tried to save was lost by the amount of time involved in reporting and correcting an incident. We should also keep in mind that an incident is the closest thing that can happen prior to an accident/injury happening to yourself, a coworker, or an innocent bystander. Take your time while being efficient. Follow procedures, driving rules, and laws. It will pay off at the end of [...]
